Point Symbols in HDMapper™

Q:  How can I change the symbol used for my transmitter site or pin locations in HDMapper?

A:  With TAP6.0.2210 or later and a Maintenance Subscription date of January 31, 2008, or later, you can edit the default symbol to use for several HDMapper marking functions.

With TAP6.0.2331 or later and a Maintenance Subscription date of January 31, 2010, or later, you can specify the size of text to be automatically added with Fixed Facility or coverage transmitter site locations.

Note that all values in this example are for demonstration purposes only.  You should determine appropriate settings for your application.

For example, suppose you have a coverage study displayed in HDMapper:

On the Configuration menu near the top of the form, select “Symbols” and then “Coverage Layer TX Site”

You will be prompted to select the symbol, color, and size for this function, as well as the text size::

The text size and alignment options are described in Text in HDMapper.

Note that with versions of TAP earlier than TAP6.0.2331 or a Maintenance Subscription that expired prior to January 31, 2010, only the symbol form will be displayed:

When you have selected the properties you want to use, click the Continue button.

Use the Show TX Site function for a TAP coverage layer:
