Printing Fixed Facility Information

Q:  How can I print the values in my Fixed Facility database?

A:  With TAP6.0.2258 or later and a Maintenance Subscription date of September 30, 2008, or later, you can save Fixed Facility values to a text file and print them.

Note that all values in this example are for demonstration purposes only.  You should determine appropriate settings for your application.

The Fixed Facility database contains detailed information about base stations, repeaters, transmitter sites, microwave stations, etc., that you can use in TAP to draw path profiles, compute area coverage, and other functions.  The site and hardware information can be entered manually, or can be imported from other sources.

To print the information, click the Print button near the top of the Fixed Facility interface:

(The Fixed Facility interface is available from the Editors menu, as well as in HDPath and in HDCoverage.)

By default, the function prints only the Fixed Facility record currently displayed:

If you want to print all the records in the database you can click the Yes button.  You can also use the Fixed Facility filtering function to create a subset of records to print.

Since the Fixed facility database contains many values you may want to skip empty data fields.

If you want to print all fields, even those that do not have an entry, you can click the No button.  This might be useful in seeing what information you need to complete a Fixed Facility entry.

The values will be written to a temporary file (FixedFAC.TXT) and displayed in Notepad.

You can save the text file to a different file name and edit it with other software to customize the formatting to your needs.
