Importing FCC Data – AutoPath Database

Q: How can I import File Exchange Formatted FCC data or Percon FCC data into TAPÔ for use with AutoPath?

A: Percon data files of  FCC data exported to the AutoPath format can be used directly by the AutoPath program.

TAP systems on Maintenance Subscriptions in effect on or after June 15, 2003, and updated to Build 908 or later, have new features to simplify the use of AutoPath with the Percon data.

In the AutoPath program, one of the first forms displayed prompts you for the AutoPath data file to use. The file created by the  Percon software for AutoPath can be used:

(Note this is different from the import functions for using the File Exchange Formatted FCC data or Percon data in the TAP Fixed Facility database or TAP Intermod studies. For AutoPath, there is no need to import the data. The Percon AutoPath file can be read directly by the AutoPath program.).

Once the file has been selected, you can inspect or edit the files in the AutoPath setup form:

Note that the default settings in the Percon Software file may have the "Print Profile?" and other action boxes blank, so you will need to click the boxes for the functions you want the AutoPath program to perform.

TAP systems on Maintenance Subscriptions in effect on or after June 15, 2003, and updated to Build 908 or later include the buttons shown above for the Profiles and Field Calculations, to mark All or None to print the profiles and field strength calculations, as well as All or None to save the profiles and field strength calculations. You can still click the check boxes in the list manually to change individual settings.
