Coverage Area Display

Q:  How can I show the area I want to compute coverage for in HDCoverage™?

A:  For TAP 6.0.2073 and later systems with a Maintenance Subscription date of April 30, 2006 or later, the coverage area you set up in HDCoverage can be displayed on the map in that program.

HDCoverage is used to set up the area you want to use for the coverage study:

The Coverage Area section of the Coverage Area Settings on the form includes the “Draw on map” checkbox.  When you check the box, the outline of the coverage area is shown on the map.  (If the coverage area is not refreshed when you scroll the form or if the HDCoverage form is covered with another form, click the “+” or “–” zoom buttons to refresh the map.)

Tile studies are shown as a rectangle defining the area:

Radial and contour studies are also shown (contour studies show the radials that will be used to compute the contour):

Target Point studies are shown with a small “X” mark at each location where the field is to be computed:
