Q: How do I set default units for power?
A: In most instances you can change the units for specific values as you use TAP. The system units settings provide the default settings. A number of system default unit settings are available in the TAP Configuration menu under "Units":

While most of the items on this form are self-explanatory, a brief description may be helpful:
"Distance Units" defines the units for horizontal measurements, such as distance between two transmitter sites.
"Elevation Units" defines vertical units for elevation measurements.
"Power Units" defines the units for power measurements, such as ERP, TPO, antenna ratings, etc.
"Gain Units" defines the units for antenna gain.
"Field Units" defines the units for field strength calculations.
"Sensitivity Units" defines the units for receiver input specifications.
"Coordinate Defaults" defines the default hemispheres for entering latitude and longitude valuses.
"Spheroid Model" defines the earth shape for distance and azimuth calculations.
