Q: How do I use the "Save Profile Plot" feature in TAP 4.3?
A: Like the TAP Map Window "Save As" feature that has long been a part of TAP, in Version 4.3 and later you can also save terrain profile plots that can then be reopened and edited later.
Whenever you draw a new profile plot, the default file name is SWP2P000.DBF. (If you open multiple plots simultaneously, the file names are SWP2P001.DBF, SWP2P002.DBF, etc.). The next time you create a new profile, the same file name (such as SWP2P000.DBF) is overwritten.
If you want to save a profile (including any custom labels, etc., you have added), you can use the "Save" icon on the toolbar:
You will be prompted for a file name to save.
You can later open this drawing using either the File|Open Drawing menu, or the list of most recent drawings in the File menu:
