SoftWright sells its customers a license to use its rf engineering software products. We do not sell you the software itself. Like most software purchases, the actual software and supporting documentation remain the exclusive property of the software company. In most cases the SoftWright license is for use on one primary computer and a backup system which is usually a notebook computer. You agree to use the systems one at a time. The license you purchase is for the version of the software that is the current release at the time of license purchase. You may use this licensed software for as long as you desire. For an overview of our rf software tools see our products web page. There are no future hidden costs to continue using the software. From time to time we issue new software maintenance releases. These releases contain any modifications necessary to fix identified problems in the software. There is no charge for any of these maintenance releases. They may be downloaded from our web site and installed anytime. If and when you contact our support department with a question, one of the first things that they will ask you to do is to be on the current maintenance release. You will always benefit yourself by taking advantage of this no-cost benefit with all our software products. We also offer an optional annual software maintenance subscription if you wish to also automatically receive the major changes and enhancements in the software.

 

As a new licensee of a SoftWright software system, you will be provided 30 minutes of product support time at no additional cost to be used within twelve months following the purchase.

The license for the software is something that you own. If at any time in the future you wish to no longer use the licensed software and you wish to transfer that license to someone else, you may do so with the written consent of SoftWright. Please contact us and request the proper form to transfer a license.
