Example Configurations

TAP™ is comprised of individually licensed software modules, which may be purchased in almost any combination depending on user requirements for area coverage studies, path profiles, interference studies, presentation of results, and budget. The Intermodulation Products module is a standalone application that may be purchased and used individually.

Popular TAP™ configurations for path and coverage studies are described below.  Please contact sales@softwright.com and we will be happy to help you select the ideal TAP™ configuration for your applications and provide you with a detailed formal quote to facilitate your purchasing process.

Package D: Most Popular TAP™ Package for Microwave/VHF/UHF Path Analysis

TAP Module Brief Description
Basic Mapping Catalogs and retrieves topographical data (required for all TAP™ users)
RF Facilities Saves fixed and mobile facility descriptions in a database for reuse
Microwave Reliability Estimates microwave link reliability
VHF/UHF Reliability Estimates link reliability in UHF and VHF bands
Land Use Imports USGS Land Use Land Cover files and Global Land Cover files and then uses them in the analysis
3D Display Exports 3D coverage maps and path studies to Google Earth, Maptitude, ArcGis, and other mapping software
Shadow Map Quickly identifies areas with line-of-sight and Fresnel zone clearance from a fixed facility
AutoPath Create and analyze path networks using the Fixed Facility database or a spreadsheet import.
Reflection Analysis Searches for possible surface reflections for the given path and evaluates the potential impact on the link.
Antenna Elevation Automatically calculate required Tx and Rx antenna heights for achieving clear line of sight and Fresnel zone along a path
