Q: How can I compute a simple microwave reliability study?
A: In addition to the Microwave Link Budget program, you can use the QuickLink program to compute fade margin, percent reliability, and predicted annual outage.
From the Path menu, select the Microwave QuickLink item:
The QuickLink form will be displayed:
You can enter the parameters on the form and the fade margin and other reliability values are computed and displayed at the bottom of the form. Note that invalid values will result in a message near the fade margin value. The fade margin will be displayed in red if the value is invalid.
The transmission line pulldown lists contain the information from the available line libraries in your TAP system.
