TAP Fixed Facility Import Fields
(Minimum Requirements)

SoftWright Home

The following table lists the fields that can be imported into the TAP Fixed Facility database using the Facility Exchange Format (FXF).

By "Minimum Requirements", we mean the most essential fields that are necessary for the most common functions in the Terrain Analysis Package (TAP) software, such a drawing path profiles or basic coverage studies.

The FXF file can be

Since the FXF import function uses the Field Names from the table below to map the imported fields to the TAP Fixed Facility database, the order of the fields in the file is not important.

Also, since the FXF import function uses the Field Names, it is not necessary to import all of the fields.  Missing fields will be ignored.  Naturally, several fields are related (such as the antenna height and the height units) and should either both be included or both be omitted.

The Field Header column is used internally by TAP and can be ignored for the import process.

The Comments column describes the general use of the field and what it should contain.

FAC_LAT Latitude DOUBLE F 14 9

Facility (tower) latitude (+ for North, - for South)

FAC_LON Longitude DOUBLE F 14 9

Facility (tower) longitude (+ for East,  - for West)

FAC_DATUM Datum STRING C 13 0
