Batch Processing TAP Intermod Studies

Batch Processing TAP Intermod Studies

Q: I have several intermod studies I need to run. How can I set these up to run overnight?

Note: This FAQ applies only to TAP5 and earlier versions of the Intermod function.  If you are using TAP6 with HDSpectrum, please refer to the documentation for running studies with that version.

A: When you set up an intermodulation study, one of the options on the TAP Intermod Study Setup form is to "Execute Now" or "Execute Later"

If "Execute Now" is selected, when you click the Continue button, the intermod study will begin immediately.

If you want to set up the study for execution later (by itself or with several other studies), you can select the "Execute Later" option. When the Continue button is clicked, the settings for the study will be saved, including the Description you enter for the study.

The description will be used to select the study for execution later.

When the TAP Intermod Study Setup form closes in the Execute Later mode, a dialog box is displayed to enable you to open another new study to set up:

Click the No button to end the intermod setup program.

When you want to execute the study or studies you saved with the Execute Later option, click the File menu and select Tasks:

The TAP Task List form is displayed.

This form displays a list of Tasks in the TAP Task database (including intermod studies, coverage studies and area grid studies). Studies that have already been executed are shaded in red.

Select the study or studies you want to execute by clicking the selection button at the left of the row so the description is highlighted. Then click the Add button in the lower right part of the form.

The selected item(s) will be added to the Tasks To Do list:

You can continue adding to the Tasks To Do list. When the list contains all the studies you want to execute, click the Execute button to start running the items on the list.
