3DDisplay Capabilities

Q: What can I do with the new TAP 3DDisplay module?

A: The 3DDisplay module ("3DD") enables you to use topographic elevation grid files and tile coverage studies generated in TAP to create 3D images. These images can be saved, printed, or exported to several popular image file formats, such as JPEG.

With 3DD you can draw a familiar "wireframe" 3D presentation:

Instead of the wireframe, you can draw the topography as a lighted surface:

You can color the surface to show elevation values:

You can overlay a graphic image, such as an aerial photograph, over the area:

The image can be a topographic map of the area:

You can add coverage information computed in TAP, and set the coloring to indicate field strength levels:

You can adjust the size and viewing angles to get the best view for your presentation:

The Print Preview feature enables you to control the printed presentation:

In addition, you can save the image to several different graphic file formats:
