What hardware do I need to run your programs efficiently?
TAP requires Windows 2k/XP. Our programs are very math intensive. The faster the computer the better. We recommend that you use at least 700 MHz Pentium with 256 MB of memory. Both Microsoft DirectX and .NET must be installed. (Note Windows 95 and NT are not supported.) If you are using Windows 98 be advised that we recommend that you upgrade your operating system to XP. Most of our customers prefer a 1 GHz processor or faster and 1 GB of RAM. While you can operate TAP on slower less robust machines, performance is greatly enhanced by using faster machines with increased memory. Disk space required for the TAP software is approximately 1.0 GB if you install the complete directional antenna pattern library supplied. ShapeFiles (roads, rivers, railroads, county and state boundaries) and topography data (DEMs) will require additional disk space. Any Windows supported printer or plotter will work.
